Abstract
Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) targeting compounds are described. Uses of the compounds for imaging, therapy, cell sorting, and tumor mapping are also described.

A compound having the structure:
- wherein Z is CO2Q;
- each Q is hydrogen;
- each R is independently H or C1-C4 alkyl;
- W is —NRC(O)—;
- Y is —C(O)—;
- a is 1, 2, 3, or 4;
- m is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6;
- n is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6;
- q is 1;
- s is 1;
- and R3 is H, CO2H, or CO2R4, where R4 is a C1-C6 alkyl and optionally including a chelated Tc-99m metal ion.
