Abstract
This invention relates to methods for increasing the efficiency of siRNA administrations via pre-administration of an agent that increases LDL receptor levels.

A method for administering a neutral liposomal formulated siRNA targeting a PCSK9 gene to a subject comprising administering to the subject an agent that increases LDLR levels, and subsequently administering a first effective dose of the neutral liposomal formulated siRNA targeting the PCSK9 gene, wherein said first effective dose is lower than an effective dose of the neutral liposomal formulated siRNA administered to the subject without the agent, and wherein the agent is a dsRNA.
A method for increasing the efficacy of a neutral liposomal formulated siRNA targeting a PCSK9 gene, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof an agent that increases LDLR levels and subsequently administering an effective dose of the neutral liposomal formulated siRNA targeting the PCSK9 gene, wherein said effective dose is a lower dose than the effective dose of the neutral liposomal formulated siRNA administered to the subject without the agent, and wherein the agent is a dsRNA.
