Abstract
Provided is an organic light emitting device having high light emitting efficiency and good emission color purity. The organic light emitting device includes an anode, a cathode, and an organic compound layer which is sandwiched between the anode and the cathode, in which one of the anode and the cathode is transparent or semi-transparent and the organic compound layer contains at least one kind of perylene compound represented by the following general formula (1): where R1 to R8 each represent a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group; and Ar1 to Ar4 each represent a substituent represented by the following general formula (2) or (3).
Claims6
An organic light emitting device, comprising:
- an anode;
- a cathode;
- and
- an organic compound layer which is sandwiched between the anode and the cathode,
- wherein one of the anode and the cathode is transparent or semi-transparent,
- wherein the organic compound layer is an emission layer comprising a host and a guest,
- wherein the guest comprises a perylene compound represented by the following general formula (1):
- where R1 to R8 each represent a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group;
- and Ar1 to Ar4 each represent a substituent represented by the following general formula (2) or (3):
- where X11 to X17 each represent a substituent selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon group, and a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group, and adjacent substituents may be bonded to each other to form a ring structure;
- and Y1 and Y2 each represent a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group,
- where X21 to X27 each represent a substituent selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon group, and a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group, and adjacent substituents may be bonded to each other to form a ring structure, and
- wherein the light emission layer emits blue or green light.
