## Abstract

A novel soybean variety, designated XB47X13 is provided. Also provided are the seeds of soybean variety XB47X13, cells from soybean variety XB47X13, plants of soybean XB47X13, and plant parts of soybean variety XB47X13. Methods provided include producing a soybean plant by crossing soybean variety XB47X13 with another soybean plant, methods for introgressing a transgenic trait, a mutant trait, and/or a native trait into soybean variety XB47X13, methods for producing other soybean varieties or plant parts derived from soybean variety XB47X13, and methods of characterizing soybean variety XB47X13. Soybean seed, cells, plants, germplasm, breeding lines, varieties, and plant parts produced by these methods and/or derived from soybean variety XB47X13 are further provided.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A plant, a plant part, or a seed of soybean variety XB47X13, representative seed of said soybean variety XB47X13 having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-121645.

### Claim 2

A soybean seed obtained by introducing a transgene into soybean variety XB47X13, wherein a plant grown from said seed comprises all the physiological and morphological characteristics of soybean variety XB47X13.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The seed of claim 2, wherein the transgene confers a trait selected from the group consisting of male sterility, site-specific recombination, abiotic stress tolerance, altered phosphorus, altered antioxidants, altered fatty acids, altered essential amino acids, altered carbohydrates, herbicide resistance, insect resistance, and disease resistance, wherein a plant grown from said seed comprises all the physiological and morphological characteristics of soybean variety XB47X13.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

A soybean plant, or a part thereof, produced by growing the seed of claim 1.

### Claim 5 (depends on 2)

A soybean plant, or a part thereof, produced by growing the seed of claim 2, wherein said plant comprises all the physiological and morphological characteristics of soybean variety XB47X13.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

A method for developing a second soybean plant comprising applying plant breeding techniques to a first soybean plant, or parts thereof, wherein said first soybean plant is the soybean plant of claim 1, and wherein application of said techniques results in development of said second soybean plant.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

A method for producing soybean seed comprising crossing two soybean plants and harvesting the resultant soybean seed, wherein at least one soybean plant is the soybean plant of claim 1.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

An F1 soybean seed produced by the method of claim 7.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

A soybean plant, or a part thereof, produced by growing said seed of claim 8.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

A method for developing a second soybean plant in a soybean plant breeding program comprising applying plant breeding techniques to a first soybean plant, or parts thereof, wherein said first soybean plant is the soybean plant of claim 9, and wherein application of said techniques results in development of said second soybean plant.

### Claim 11 (depends on 1)

A method of producing a soybean plant comprising a locus conversion, the method comprising introducing a locus conversion into the plant of claim 1, wherein said locus conversion provides a trait selected from the group consisting of male sterility, site-specific recombination, abiotic stress tolerance, altered phosphorus, altered antioxidants, altered fatty acids, altered essential amino acids, altered carbohydrates, herbicide resistance, insect resistance, and disease resistance.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

A herbicide resistant soybean plant produced by the method of claim 11, wherein said plant comprises all the physiological and morphological characteristics of soybean variety XB47X13.

### Claim 13 (depends on 11)

A disease resistant soybean plant produced by the method of claim 11, wherein said plant comprises all the physiological and morphological characteristics of soybean variety XB47X13.

### Claim 14 (depends on 11)

An insect resistant soybean plant produced by the method of claim 11, wherein said plant comprises all the physiological and morphological characteristics of soybean variety XB47X13.

### Claim 15 (depends on 14)

The soybean plant of claim 14, wherein the locus conversion comprises a transgene encoding a Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) endotoxin, wherein said plant comprises all the physiological and morphological characteristics of soybean variety XB47X13.

### Claim 16

A soybean plant, or a part thereof, expressing all the physiological and morphological characteristics of soybean variety XB47X13, representative seed of said soybean variety XB47X13 having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-121645.

### Claim 17

A method comprising isolating nucleic acids from a plant, a plant part, or a seed of soybean variety XB47X13, analyzing said nucleic acids to produce data, and recording the data for XB47X13.

### Claim 18 (depends on 17)

The method of claim 17, wherein the data is recorded on a computer readable medium.

### Claim 19 (depends on 17)

The method of claim 17, further comprising using the data for crossing, selection, or advancement decisions in a breeding program.

### Claim 20 (depends on 17)

The method of claim 17, wherein the data are a nucleic acid sequence, a marker profile, a haplotype, or any combination thereof.
