Abstract
A material having a first surface and a second surface is disclosed. The first or second surface comprises a texture. The texture is defined by peaks and valleys such that the textured surface may have an Average Peak to Peak Distance in the range of about 3 mm to about 16 mm, an Average Height Differential of at least 1 mm, and a Surface Topography Index from about 0.1 to about 5. The material may comprise a surfactant.
Claims24
A macroscopically three-dimensional material comprising:
- a first nonwoven material;
- and
- a second nonwoven material, wherein the first nonwoven material is hydroentangled with the second nonwoven material to join the first nonwoven material to the second nonwoven material;
- wherein the three-dimensional material has a CD Elongation value at 500 g of at least 15%;
- wherein the three-dimensional material comprises:
- a first surface;
- and
- a second surface;
- wherein one of the first and second surfaces comprises a macroscopic three-dimensional texture;
- wherein the macroscopic three-dimensional texture comprises peaks and valleys such that the textured surface has:
- an Average Peak to Peak Distance in the range of 4 mm to about 12 mm;
- a first projection having a first height;
- a second projection having a second height, wherein the first height is greater than the second height;
- an Average Height Differential of at least 1 mm;
- and
- a Surface Topography Index from about 0.01 to about 5;
- and
- wherein the material comprises a surfactant.
A material comprising:
- a first nonwoven material comprising polypropylene;
- and
- a second nonwoven material comprising polyester, wherein the first nonwoven material is hydroentangled together with the second nonwoven material;
- wherein the material comprises:
- a first surface;
- and
- a second surface;
- wherein one of the surfaces comprises a three-dimensional texture;
- wherein the three-dimensional texture is defined by peaks and valleys such that the textured surface has:
- an Average Peak to Peak Distance in the range of 4 mm to about 12 mm;
- a Surface Topography Index in the range of about 0.01 to about 5;
- a first projection having a first height;
- a second projection having a second height, wherein the first height is greater than the second height;
- and
- an Average Height Differential in the range of about 1 mm to about 3 mm;
- and
- wherein the material has a CD Elongation value at 500 g of at least 3%.
A sheet comprising:
- a first nonwoven material;
- and
- a second nonwoven material, wherein the first nonwoven material is hydroentangled with the second nonwoven material to join the first and second nonwoven materials together;
- wherein the sheet comprises a first surface and a second surface;
- wherein one of the surfaces comprises a texture;
- wherein the texture has:
- an Average Peak to Peak Distance in the range of 4 mm to about 12 mm;
- a Surface Topography Index in the range of about 0.1 to about 5;
- a first projection having a first height;
- a second projection having a second height, wherein the first height is greater than the second height;
- and
- an Average Height Differential of at least 1 mm;
- wherein the sheet comprises a surfactant;
- and
- wherein the sheet has a CD Elongation value at 500 g of at least 10%.
A nonwoven laminate comprising:
- a first nonwoven material;
- and
- a second nonwoven material joined to the first nonwoven material;
- wherein the laminate comprises a first surface and a second surface;
- wherein one of the surfaces comprises a three-dimensional texture;
- wherein the three-dimensional texture has:
- an Average Peak to Peak Distance in the range of 4 mm to about 12 mm;
- a Surface Topography Index in the range of about 0.01 to about 5;
