## Abstract

Disclosed are compositions that include Docynia delavajy extract, Elaeagnus lanceolatus extract, or a combination of such extracts.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A topical skin composition comprising Docynia delavajy leaf and stem extract and Elaeagnus lanceolatus leaf and stem extract, wherein the composition is formulated as an emulsion, cream, lotion, or lipstick, wherein the Docynia delavajy leaf and stem extract or Elaeagnus lanceolatus leaf and stem extract is an organic solvent extract.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The composition of claim 1, wherein the composition comprises from about 0.001% to about 5%, by weight, of Docynia delavajy leaf and stem extract.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The composition of claim 1, wherein the composition comprises from about 0.001% to about 5%, by weight of Elaeagnus lanceolatus leaf and stem extract.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The composition of claim 1, further comprising:
(a) water;
(b) a chelating agent;
(c) a moisturizing agent;
(d) a preservative;
(e) a thickening agent;
(f) a vitamin; and
(g) an emulsifier.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The composition of claim 1, wherein the composition inhibits TNF-α or MMP-1 activity or exhibits anti-oxidant activity in skin.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The composition of claim 1, wherein the composition further comprises a preservative.
