The dry-erase board includes an insert positioned between the clear top surface and a second surface, the insert being protected by the clear top surface ## Claims ### Claim 1 A dry-erase board comprising: a rigid base member, the rigid base member having a surface suitable for use with a dry-erase marker; a frame attached to the rigid base member, at least a portion of the frame being rotatable relative to the rigid base member; and a transparent cover disposed between the rigid base member and the frame, the transparent cover movable relative to the rigid base member and having a surface suitable for use with a dry-erase marker, and wherein the frame is disposed around at least a portion the rigid base member and the transparent cover. ### Claim 2 (depends on 1) The dry-erase board according to claim 1, further comprising at least one retaining member attached to one of the rigid base member and the transparent cover for accepting a template to be disposed between the rigid base member and the transparent cover. ### Claim 3 (depends on 1) The dry-erase board according to claim 1, wherein at least a portion of the frame is attached to the transparent cover. ### Claim 4 (depends on 1) The dry-erase board according to claim 1, wherein the transparent cover is rotatably attached to the rigid base member. ### Claim 5 (depends on 1) The dry-erase board according to claim 1, further comprising magnetic areas in the rigid base member for attaching magnetic elements to one of the rigid base member and the transparent cover. ### Claim 6 (depends on 4) The dry-erase board according to claim 4, wherein the transparent cover is attached to a portion of a frame, the portion of the frame attached to the transparent cover being rotatably attached to the rigid base member. ### Claim 7 (depends on 2) The dry-erase board according to claim 2, wherein the template provides spaces for writing on the transparent cover with a dry-erase marker. ### Claim 8 (depends on 1) The dry erase board according to claim 1, wherein the rigid base member is at least partially backlit. ### Claim 9 (depends on 1) The dry-erase board according to claim 1, further comprising lighting elements around at least a portion of a periphery of the rigid base member. ### Claim 10 (depends on 1) The dry-erase board according to claim 1, wherein the rigid base member has at least one translucent portion, the translucent portion having a lighting source therebehind. ### Claim 11 (depends on 2) The dry-erase board according to claim 2, wherein the at least one retaining member is a projection. ### Claim 12 (depends on 2) The dry-erase board according to claim 2, wherein the at least one retaining member is a magnetic element, the magnetic element cooperating with a second magnetic element. ### Claim 13 (depends on 2) The dry-erase board according to claim 2, wherein the template has a surface suitable for use with a dry-erase marker and provides spaces for writing on one of the transparent cover and the template with a dry-erase marker. ### Claim 14 A dry-erase board comprising: a rigid base member; a frame attached to the rigid base member, at least a portion of the frame being rotatable relative to the rigid base member; and a transparent cover disposed between the rigid base member and the frame, the transparent cover movable relative to the rigid base member and having a surface suitable for use with a dry-erase marker, and wherein the frame is disposed around at least a portion the rigid base member and the transparent cover. ### Claim 15 (depends on 14) The dry-erase board according to claim 14, further comprising a template disposed between the rigid base member and the transparent cover. ### Claim 16 (depends on 15) The dry-erase board according to claim 15, wherein the template has a surface suitable for use with a dry-erase marker and provides spaces for writing on one of the transparent cover and the template with a dry-erase marker. ### Claim 17 A dry-erase board comprising: a rigid base member; a frame attached to the rigid base member, at least a portion of the frame being rotatable relative to the rigid base member; a transparent cover movable relative to the rigid base member and having a surface suitable for use with a dry-erase marker; and a template disposed between the rigid base member and the transparent cover and wherein the template and the transparent cover are disposed between at least a portion of the frame and the rigid base member. ### Claim 18 (depends on 17) The dry-erase board according to claim 17, wherein the template provides spaces for writing on the transparent cover with a dry-erase marker.
