Abstract
Adhesive tape consisting of a carrier having a top face and a bottom face, an adhesive layer and a liner, the carrier having a width BT based on the transverse direction, and also of an adhesive layer applied on the bottom face of the carrier, characterized in that applied on the open side of the adhesive layer is a sheetlike liner having a transverse-direction-based width BA, which is greater than or equal to the width BT, the liner having an offset relative to the carrier in transverse direction, with a width BVS.

An adhesive tape consisting of a carrier having a top face, a bottom face, and a width BT based on the transverse direction, an adhesive layer applied on the bottom face of the carrier, and a liner applied on the open side of the adhesive layer, wherein a portion of the adhesive layer is exposed after the liner has been applied to the open side of the adhesive layer, wherein the liner has a transverse-direction-based width BA, which is greater than or equal to the width BT, and an offset relative to the carrier in transverse direction, with a width BVS, wherein the ratio of the width BT to the width BA lies between 1.0:1.0 and 1.0:1.5 and the width BVS of the offset lies between 0.4*width BT and 0.6*width BT.
An elongate material jacketed with an adhesive tape having a carrier, an adhesive layer and a liner, wherein the carrier has a width BT based on the transverse direction and the adhesive layer is applied on a bottom face of the carrier, wherein the liner is applied to the open side of the adhesive layer, wherein the liner has a transverse-direction-based width BA, which is greater than or equal to the width BT and an offset relative to the carrier in transverse direction, with a width BVS, wherein the ratio of the width BT to the width BA lies between 1.0:1.0 and 1.0:1.5 and the width BVS of the offset lies between 0.4*width BT and 0.6*width BT, and further wherein the adhesive tape has been wrapped around the elongated material in a spiral in the form of a helical line.
