Abstract
A method of verifying a blackout event is disclosed that includes receiving blackout event data from an event log database of a video distribution platform at a subscriber event transmission interface (SETI) communicating with an electronic data warehouse (EDW) system. The method also includes creating at least one EDW load-ready file that includes at least a portion of the blackout event data.
Claims35
A method of verifying a video blackout event, the method comprising:
- receiving blackout event data from an event log database of a video distribution platform at a subscriber event transmission interface communicating with an electronic data warehouse system, wherein the blackout event data is based on an executed portion of a video blackout event;
- creating an electronic data warehouse load-ready file based on the blackout event data, wherein the electronic data warehouse load-ready file includes a portion of the blackout event data to be stored at the electronic data warehouse system;
- and
- providing access to a video content provider to pull the portion of the blackout event data stored at the electronic data warehouse system, wherein the video content provider is associated with the video blackout event.
A system to verify a video blackout event, the system comprising:
- a subscriber event transmission interface system having processing logic and memory accessible to the processing logic, wherein the memory includes:
- a staging database adapted to store blackout event data received from an event log database of a video distribution platform, wherein the blackout event data is based on an executed portion of a video blackout event;
- and
- a file writing module executable by the processing logic to create an electronic data warehouse load-ready file that includes blackout data, wherein the blackout data includes at least a portion of the blackout event data;
- and
- an electronic data warehouse configured to:
- store the blackout data as stored data;
- and
- provide access to a video content provider to pull the stored data, wherein the video content provider is associated with the video blackout event.
A system comprising:
- an electronic data warehouse system including a processor and a storage device, the electronic data warehouse system configured to:
- receive an electronic data warehouse load-ready file from a subscriber event transmission interface system, the electronic data warehouse load-ready file including blackout event data based on an executed blackout event;
- store the blackout event data as stored blackout event data based on the electronic data warehouse load-ready file at the storage device;
- and
- provide access to a video content provider to pull the stored blackout event data, wherein the video content provider is associated with the executed blackout event.
A computer-readable storage device comprising instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations including:
- receiving blackout event data from an event log database of a video distribution platform at a subscriber event transmission interface communicating with an electronic data warehouse system, wherein the blackout event data is based on an executed portion of a video blackout event;
- creating an electronic data warehouse load-ready file that includes at least a portion of the blackout event data;
- and
- providing access to a video content provider to pull the portion of the blackout event data stored at the electronic data warehouse system, wherein the video content provider is associated with the video blackout event.
A computer-readable storage device comprising instructions executable by a processor to perform operations including:
- receiving an electronic data warehouse load-ready file from a subscriber event transmission interface system, the electronic data warehouse load-ready file including blackout event data based on an executed blackout event;
- storing the blackout event data as stored blackout event data based on the electronic data warehouse load-ready file;
- and
- providing access to a video content provider to pull the stored blackout event data, wherein the video content provider is associated with the executed blackout event.
