Dump vehicle overturn preventing device

An overturn preventing method for a dump vehicle equipped with a body rotatably supported on a frame, and hoist cylinders that expand and contract to rotate the body around a rotational axis, the method comprising the steps of:

• calculating, by a hoist cylinder controller, a withstand load of a shoulder of a road where the dump vehicle is on based on an internal frictional angle of the shoulder and a shape of the shoulder;
• calculating, by the hoist cylinder controller, a load on the body acting on the shoulder via rear wheels of the dump vehicle;
• determined, by the cylinder controller, a probability of a collapse of the shoulder on a basis of the withstand load on the body of the shoulder and the load acting on the shoulder via the rear wheels;
• and
• preventing, by hoist cylinder controller, the overturn of the dump vehicle upon discharging of loads from the dump vehicle by tilting the body based on the probability.
