Abstract
An antenna assembly for a portable device is provided. The antenna assembly includes a battery cover including a metal material, a short-range wireless communication module electrically connected to the battery cover, and a main antenna electrically connected to the short-range communication module.
Claims13
A portable device comprising:
- a battery including an antenna;
- a first case pad and a second case pad located at the portable device;
- and
- a battery cover placed over the battery,
- wherein at least a portion of the battery cover is formed of a metal material, and the battery cover comprises a non-metal material being mounted on a hole formed at the metal material of the battery cover,
- wherein the non-metal material faces the antenna, and
- wherein the first case pad and the second case pad are electrically connected between the antenna and the metal material of the battery cover when the battery is covered with the battery cover.
