Abstract
A method for reconstructing an image of an object includes acquiring a set of measured projection data, reconstructing the measured projection data using a first algorithm to generate a first reconstructed image dataset, reconstructing the measured projection data using a second algorithm to generate a second reconstructed image dataset, the second algorithm being utilized to improve the temporal resolution of the second reconstructed image dataset, and generating a final image dataset using both the first and second image datasets.
Claims21
A method for reconstructing an image of an object, said method comprising:
- acquiring a set of measured projection data;
- reconstructing the measured projection data using a first algorithm to generate a first reconstructed image dataset, the first reconstructed image dataset reconstructed using a first temporal range of information from the measured projection data;
- reconstructing the measured projection data using a second algorithm to generate a second reconstructed image dataset, the second algorithm being utilized to improve the temporal resolution of the second reconstructed image dataset, the second reconstructed image dataset using a second temporal range of information from the measured projection data that is less than the first temporal range, wherein the second temporal range defines a subset of the first temporal range;
- and
- generating a final image dataset using both the first and second image datasets.
An imaging system comprising:
- an imaging scanner;
- and
- a processor coupled to the imaging scanner, the processor configured to:
- acquire a set of measured projection data;
- reconstruct the measured projection data using a first algorithm to generate a first reconstructed image dataset, the first reconstructed image dataset reconstructed using a first temporal range of information from the measured projection data;
- reconstruct the measured projection data using a second algorithm to generate a second reconstructed image dataset, the second algorithm being utilized to improve the temporal resolution of the second reconstructed image dataset, the second reconstructed image dataset using a second temporal range of information from the measured projection data that is less than the first temporal range, wherein the second temporal range defines a subset of the first temporal range;
- and
- generate a final image dataset using both the first and second image datasets.
A non-transitory computer readable medium being programmed to instruct a computer to:
- acquire a set of measured projection data;
- reconstruct the measured projection data using a first algorithm to generate a first reconstructed image dataset, the first reconstructed image dataset reconstructed using a first temporal range of information from the measured projection data;
- reconstruct the measured projection data using a second algorithm to generate a second reconstructed image dataset, the second algorithm being utilized to improve the temporal resolution of the second reconstructed image dataset, the second reconstructed image dataset using a second temporal range of information from the measured projection data that is less than the first temporal range, wherein the second temporal range defines a subset of the first temporal range;
- and
- generate a final image dataset using both the first and second image datasets.
