A novel maize variety designated X08C921 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof, produced by crossing Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. proprietary inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant that comprises crossing hybrid maize variety X08C921 with another maize plant. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X08C921 through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby. This invention relates to the maize variety X08C921, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X08C921. This invention further relates to methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X08C921.
A hybrid maize variety X08C921 seed, wherein representative seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH1KTF with a second plant of variety PH17JT, and wherein representative seed of said varieties PH1KTF and PH17JT have been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-120356 and PTA-13033, respectively.
A hybrid maize variety X08C921 seed further comprising a locus conversion, wherein said seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH1KTF with a second plant of variety PH17JT;
An F1 seed comprising 92% of the same polymorphisms for molecular markers listed in Table 3 as a seed of maize variety X08C921, wherein a seed of maize variety X08C921 is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH1KTF, or a locus conversion thereof, with a second plant of variety PH17JT, or a locus conversion thereof, and wherein representative seed of said varieties PH1KTF and PH17JT have been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-120356 and PTA-13033, respectively.
