Abstract
Disclosed are near IR emitting fluorescent compounds; methods of making and kits containing the described compounds; and their use in fluorescence-based detection of biological materials.
Claims12
A compound having the structure:
- wherein R2, R3, and R4 are independently OH or NHR9, and wherein at least one of R2, R3, and R4 is OH, and wherein R9 comprises 1-30 atoms selected from the group consisting of N, O, C, H, and combinations thereof;
- and
- wherein R1 is —(CH2)nCOR5, wherein R5 is NH(CH2)mNR7R8 wherein R7 and R8 are independently H or C1-10 alkyl, m is 2 to 10, and n=1, 3, 4 or 5, with the proviso that when R2 is OH, R3 is NHR9, and when R2 is NHR9, R3 is OH.
A compound having the structure:
- wherein R1 is —(CH2)nCOR5, wherein R5 is NH(CH2)mNR7R8, wherein R7 and R8 are independently H or C1-10 alkyl, m is 2 to 10 and N=1, 3, 4 or 5.
