Abstract
An ink jettable overprint composition includes a reversible polymer material, which can reversibly transition between a liquid state and a solid state by reversible cycloaddition reactions, wherein upon cooling, the reversible polymer material transitions from a liquid state to a solid state by reversible cycloaddition reactions within a time period of less than about 10 seconds.
Claims19
A method of ink jet printing, comprising:
- providing an ink jettable overprint composition comprising a reversible polymer material, which can reversibly transition between a liquid state and a solid state by reversible cycloaddition reactions;
- ink jetting the overprint composition onto a substrate having an image thereon;
- and
- cooling the overprint composition, whereby the reversible polymer material transitions from a liquid state to a solid state by reversible cycloaddition reactions within a time period of less than about 10 seconds.

A method of ink jet printing, comprising:
- providing a substrate having an image thereon;
- applying an overprint composition onto at least the image, the overprint composition comprising a reversible polymer material, which can reversibly transition between a liquid state and a solid state by reversible cycloaddition reactions;
- and
- cooling the overprint composition, whereby the reversible polymer material transitions from a liquid state to a solid state by reversible cycloaddition reactions within a time period of less than about 10 seconds.
