Abstract
A dot-sighting device includes a light source, a beam splitter and a reflective element. The light source emits light. The beam splitter includes a surface that reflects at least a portion of a first light component of the light and transmits at least a portion of a second light component. The reflective element reflects at least a portion of the first light component reflected by the surface of the beam splitter toward the beam splitter. The light reflected by the reflective element includes the second light component.
Claims24
A dot-sighting device, comprising:
- a housing having a first opening and a second opening, a linear viewing axis being defined from the first opening to the second opening;
- a light source that emits light;
- a beam splitter that includes a surface that reflects at least a portion of a first light component of the light and transmits at least a portion of a second light component, the second light component being defined as light that enters the housing through the first opening;
- and
- a reflective element that reflects at least a portion of the first light component toward the beam splitter.
A dot-sighting device, comprising:
- a housing having a first opening and a second opening;
- a light source that emits light;
- a beam splitter that includes a surface that reflects at least a portion of a first light component of the light and transmits at least a portion of a second light component, the second light component being defined as light that enters the housing through the first opening;
- a reflective element that reflects at least a portion of the first light component toward the beam splitter;
- a first light converting unit that converts the light emitted from the dot image generating unit into the first light component;
- and
- a second light converting unit that blocks at least a portion of light passing through the reflective element, wherein
- the first light converting unit and the second light converting unit include linear polarizers that have polarization directions perpendicular to each other.
A dot-sighting device, comprising:
- a housing having a first opening and a second opening;
- a light source that emits light;
- a beam splitter that includes a surface that reflects at least a portion of a first light component of the light and transmits at least a portion of a second light component, the second light component being defined as light that enters the housing through the first opening;
- a reflective element that reflects at least a portion of the first light component toward the beam splitter;
- a third light converting unit that is arranged between the beam splitter and the light source;
- and
- a fourth light converting unit that has a polarization direction opposite to a polarization direction of the third light converting unit and is arranged to block light passing through the reflective element.
A dot-sighting device, comprising:
- a housing having a first opening and a second opening, a linear viewing axis being defined from the first opening to the second opening;
- a light source that emits light;
- a reflective element that reflects at least a portion of the light emitted by the light source;
- and
- an optical system that reflects or transmits at least a portion of the light emitted from the light source.
