Abstract
An image projection system whereby a position of a pointer on a projected image can be easily controlled from a location separated from the main control means. The system comprises a projector, a computer for controlling the projector to display a pointer on a projected image in accordance with an operational signal from a terminal, and a remote controller for the projector. The remote controller comprises a pointing device and a transmitter for transmitting an operation signal as an infrared ray operational signal. The projector comprises a receiver which is an infrared (IR) optical receiver having directivity, and receives the infrared ray operational signal.
Claims4
An image display device that displays an image provided by a computer and that is controlled by remote controller, the image display device comprising:
- an image display section adapted to display the image;
- and
- a control section adapted to:
- control the image display device in response to an operation on at least one element of the remote controller when the image display section displays a predetermined menu image, and
- control the computer in response to the operation on the at least one element of the remote controller when the image display section does not displays the predetermined menu image.
A method of controlling an image display device that displays an image provided by a computer and that is controlled by remote controller, the method comprising:
- displaying the image by the image display device;
- controlling the image display device in response to an operation on at least one element of the remote controller when the image display device displays a predetermined menu image, and
- controlling the computer in response to the operation on the at least one element of the remote controller when the image display device does not displays the predetermined menu image.
