Abstract
A chain bar unit for a wall saw is presented herein. The chain bar unit can include a bar configured to receive a circulating chain or wire around a perimeter of the bar. The chain bar unit also can include a driving gear for driving the chain or wire around the bar, the driving gear configured to be coupled to an output shaft of the wall saw. The chain bar unit further includes the bar being tapered from an end proximate to the driving gear to a distal end having a distal end radius, wherein a width of the bar at the proximate end, is at least two times the distal end radius of the distal end.
Claims13
A chain bar guiding system for a wall chain saw, mainly for cutting concrete, comprising:
- a safety cover rotatably coupled to a cover anchor mechanism coupled to the wall saw;
- a chain saw assembly housing slidingly coupled to the safety cover;
- the chain saw assembly housing coupled to a chain bar and rotatably coupled to a saw arm, wherein the chain saw assembly housing is slidably connected to the safety cover to slide when the saw arm is pivoted.
A positioning system for a wall or floor saw comprising
- a saw drive motor powered by an external power supply;
- a saw arm having a first end and a second end, where the first end and the second end are opposite to each other, the saw arm coupled to the saw drive motor at the first end;
- a chain bar coupled to the saw arm at a second end;
- a carriage having the saw drive motor and a carriage drive motor mounted thereon;
- a rack coupled to the carriage, wherein the carriage drive motor moves the carriage along the rack in response to movement of the saw arm;
- a controller adapted to control the position of the carriage and saw arm, the controller having a non-transitory memory for storing instructions to:
- determine a start position in which the arm and the chain bar are substantially parallel to one another;
- receive a downward cut command at the controller;
- send instruction data to the saw drive motor to rotate the saw arm in a counterclockwise direction, such that the arm moves to the left of the carriage;
- sending instruction data to the carriage motor to move the carriage to the right, wherein the instruction data received by the carriage motor causes the carriage to move substantially simultaneously with the movement of the arm in order to allow the tip of the chair bar to move in substantially a vertical direction.
An interchangeable chainsaw cutting assembly adapted for rotatable installation upon a pivotable arm of a wall saw in exchange for a removed circular saw blade, said chainsaw cutting assembly comprising:
- a safety cover rotatably coupled to a cover anchor mechanism coupled to the wall saw;
- a chainsaw assembly housing;
- the chainsaw assembly housing coupled to a chain bar and rotatably coupled to a saw arm, wherein the chainsaw assembly housing is slidably connected to the safety cover to slide when the saw arm is pivoted.
