Abstract
A method and apparatus for providing a facility location plan for a network with a V-shaped facility cost are disclosed. For example, the method receives an event from a queue, wherein the event comprises an open event or a tight event. The method connects a plurality of adjacent clients to a facility, if the event comprises the open event, and adds a new client-facility edge to a graph comprising a plurality of client-facility edges, if the event comprises the tight event.

A method for providing a facility location plan for a network with a V-shaped facility cost, comprising:
- receiving, via a processor, an open event and a tight event from a queue;
- connecting, via the processor, a plurality of adjacent clients to a facility for the open event;
- and
- adding, via the processor, a new client-facility edge to a graph comprising a plurality of client-facility edges for the tight event.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium to store a plurality of instructions which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations for providing a facility location plan for a network with a V-shaped facility cost, the operations comprising:
- receiving an open event and a tight event from a queue;
- connecting a plurality of adjacent clients to a facility for the open event;
- and
- adding a new client-facility edge to a graph comprising a plurality of client-facility edges for the tight event.
An apparatus for providing a facility location plan for a network with a V-shaped facility cost, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a computer-readable medium in communication with the processor, to store a plurality of instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
- receiving an open event and a tight event from a queue;
- connecting a plurality of adjacent clients to a facility for the open event;
- and
- adding a new client-facility edge to a graph comprising a plurality of client-facility edges for the tight event.
