Radiation treatment with multiple imaging elements

A system comprising:

• a first imaging element configured to generate a first observation of a first object, the first observation of the first object generated at a first time (t1) during a radiation delivery, the first object associated with a volume of interest (VOI), the VOI being a volume within a body of a patient;
• a second imaging element configured to generate a first observation of a second object, the first observation of the second object generated at a second time (t2) during the radiation delivery, the second object associated with the VOI;
• and
• one or more processors configured to:
• determine a first positioning of the VOI based at least in part on the first observation of the first object and the first observation of the second object;
• adaptively determine a third time (t3) for the first imaging element based at least in part on a positioning parameter associated with the first positioning of the VOI, wherein the positioning parameter includes at least one of a velocity or an acceleration of the VOI, and wherein the adaptively determined third time (t3) is dependent on the at least one of the velocity or the acceleration of the VOI exceeding a threshold;
• and
• generate, using the first imaging element, a second observation of the first object at the third time (t3) during the radiation delivery, wherein t3>t2>t1.
