Data and call routing and forwarding

One or more non-transitory computer readable media storing executable instructions configured to, when executed, cause a call routing facility of a first service provider to:

• receive a call session from a second service provider that is different from the first service provider;
• create a query for accessing a partitioned routing database based on at least one of a service provider type for the second service provider or an origination number type for the call session;
• use the query to retrieve routing information from the partitioned routing database;
• and
• cause routing of the call session to a destination of the call session based on the routing information.

A system comprising:

• a partitioned routing database;
• a destination interface device;
• a route proxy;
• and
• a session border controller of a first service provider configured to:
• receive a call session from a second service provider that is different from the first service provider, and
• transmit, to the route proxy, at least one of a service provider type for the second service provider or an origination number type for the call session;
• wherein the route proxy is configured to:
• create a query for accessing the partitioned routing database based on at least one of the service provider type for the second service provider or the origination number type for the call session;
• use the query to retrieve routing information from the partitioned routing database;
• and
• cause routing of the call session to a destination of the call session based on the routing information via the destination interface device.
