Abstract
An application in an image processing apparatus presents information about ink installed in a peripheral device, such as the shape, color, size, arrangement direction, and a remaining ink level of an ink tank, in a visually realistic manner using accurate graphics. The image processing apparatus acquires ink information about, in particular, a remaining ink level, arrangement direction, and the order of the arrangement of the ink tank, and displays the information about the peripheral device in a user interface of the application using the acquired ink information.
Claims30
A system, which includes an information processing apparatus and a printer provided with a color material container, comprising:
- a requiring unit configured to perform a request for information from the information processing apparatus to the printer;
- and
- a reception unit configured to receive, from the printer, a color name of color material in the color material container of the printer and an RGB value representing color of color material in the color material container of the printer, as a response to the request for the information.
An information processing method for a system including an information processing apparatus and a printer provided with a color material container, the method comprising:
- performing a request for information from the information processing apparatus to the printer;
- and
- receiving, from the printer, a color name of color material in the color material container of the printer and an RGB value representing color of color material in the color material container of the printer, as a response to the request for the information.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium that stores a program configured to be executed in a system which includes an information processing apparatus and a printer provided with a color material container, the program comprising:
- program code for performing a request for information from the information processing apparatus to the printer;
- and
- program code for receiving, from the printer, a color name of color material in the color material container of the printer and an RGB value representing color of color material in the color material container of the printer, as a response to the request for the information.
An information processing apparatus comprising:
- a requiring unit configured to perform a request for information to a printer a reception unit configured to receive, from the printer, a color name of color material in a color material container and an RGB value representing color of color material in the color material container, as a response to the request for information.
An information processing method comprising:
- performing a request for information to a printer;
- and
- receiving, from the printer, a color name of color material in a color material container and an RGB value representing color of color material in the color material container, as a response to the request for information.
