Abstract
A crystalline, completely soluble lithium bis(oxalato)horate (LiBOB), to a method for producing the same and to the use of the lithium bis(oxalato)borate.

LiBOB that it is coarsely crystalline and completely soluble present as a LiBOB•(n 5-membered ring ester) complex, wherein n is between 0.01 and 3, wherein the turbidity of a 15% solution of the LiBOB in acetonitrile is at most 100 NTU.
A LiBOB that is present as a LiBOB•(n 5-membered ring ester) complex, wherein n is between 0.01 and 3.44, wherein the LiBOB is coarsely crystalline and completely soluble present as a wherein turbidity of a 15% solution of the LiBOB in acetonitrile is at most 100 NTU and wherein the LiBOB is free from organic substances other than a 1,3-dioxolan-2-one compound or a γ-lactone.
