Abstract
Methods of improving skin quality are disclosed. Generally, the methods include topically administering an IRM compound to a treatment area of skin for a period of time and in an amount effective for improving the quality of the skin. Suitable IRM compound compounds include agonists of one or more TLRs.
Claims18
A method of visibly reducing a skin change associated with aging comprising:
- topically applying to skin exhibiting a change associated with aging an imiquimod composition comprising 5% imiquimod by weight in an amount and for a period of time sufficient to visibly reduce the skin change associated with aging, wherein imiquimod is the sole active pharmaceutical ingredient applied to the human skin in performance of the method.
A method of visibly reducing a human skin wrinkle comprising:
- topically applying to the human skin wrinkle an imiquimod composition comprising 5% imiquimod by weight in an amount and for a period of time sufficient to visibly reduce the wrinkle.
