Abstract
The present invention relates to isolated polypeptides having protease activity and isolated polynucleotides encoding the polypeptides. The invention also relates to nucleic acid constructs, vectors, and host cells comprising the polynucleotides as well as methods for producing and using the polypeptides.
Claims8
A method for producing a polypeptide comprising two or more domains of which one domain is a carbohydrate binding module, wherein the method comprises the steps of
- (a) fermenting an isolated cell having reduced expression of a protein comprising an amino acid sequence which has at least 95% identity to amino acids 2 to 148 of SEQ ID NO:
- 5, said amino acid sequence having protease activity, wherein the cell produces said polypeptide;
- and
- (b) recovering the polypeptide from the cell or fermentation broth.
