In particular, the present invention provides a garment hanger comprising at least one rung member, wherein the at least one rung member comprises: first attachment formations disposed on the outer periphery of the rung member and adapted to receive a first portion of a first garment and; second attachment formations disposed within the outer periphery of the rung member and adapted to receive a second portion of a second garment.
Claims18
A garment hanger comprising a plurality of rung members, one or more of the plurality of rung members comprising a continuous length of material, the continuous length of material comprising a horizontal strut extending between first and second peripheral portions, each peripheral portion comprising:
- first attachment formations disposed on the outer periphery of the rung member and adapted to receive a first portion of a first garment and;
- second attachment formations disposed within the outer periphery of the rung member and adapted to receive a second portion of a second garment, wherein each of the second attachment formations comprises:
- a hook comprising a first hook portion extending downward and inward from an outermost periphery of the respective peripheral portion to a lowermost portion of the rung member and a second hook portion extending upward from the lowermost portion of the rung member to a free end,
- wherein the lowermost portion of a first rung member of the plurality of rung members is connected to the horizontal strut of a lower rung member of the plurality of rung members.
A method of manufacturing a garment hanger comprising the steps of:
- forming a plurality of rung members, each rung member of the plurality of rung members being formed as a continuous length of material and comprising a horizontal strut extending between first and second peripheral portions;
- machine forming first attachment formations in an outer periphery of the first and second peripheral portions;
- machine forming second attachment formations internally of the outer periphery of the first and second peripheral portions, the second attachment formations comprising:
- a hook comprising a first hook portion extending downward and inward from an outermost portion of the respective first and second peripheral portion to a lowermost portion of the respective rung member and a second hook portion extending upward from the lowermost portion of the respective rung member to a free end of the respective rung member;
- connecting the lowermost portion of a first rung member of the plurality of rung members to the horizontal strut of a lower rung member of the plurality of rung members.
