Configurable enclosure

An apparatus comprising:

• an enclosure configured to house cable TV equipment, the enclosure having a cover portion operably attached to a base portion, the base portion including a wall disposed around a perimeter of a bottom surface, wherein the cover portion completely covers an interior of the enclosure in a closed position;
• at least one coupler configured to operably couple the cover portion to the base portion;
• and
• a track disposed on the bottom surface of the base portion, the track substantially surrounding a removable portion of the bottom surface, wherein the track is attached to at least one first portion of the bottom surface, the first portion being thinner than at least one of the removable portion and a second portion of the bottom surface,
• wherein, when the track is peeled away from the bottom surface, the removable portion is released from the base portion,
• wherein the enclosure is configured to be mounted over cable TV equipment on a structure at a location where the cable TV equipment is also located on the structure,
• wherein at least one of the cover portion and the base portion comprises a lock enabling member configured to facilitate securing the configurable enclosure in the closed position to prevent unauthorized access, and
• wherein the bottom surface comprises at least one mounting region configured to be mounted to the structure.

An apparatus comprising:

• an enclosure having a cover portion operably attached to a base portion, the base portion including a wall disposed around a perimeter of a bottom surface, the bottom surface comprising a mount region configured to be mounted to a structure, the enclosure being configured to house broadband equipment, wherein the cover portion substantially covers an interior of the enclosure;
• at least one coupler that couples the cover portion to the base portion;
• a section of the bottom surface located proximate an outer edge of a removable portion of the bottom surface, the section being thinner than at least one of the removable portion and another portion of the bottom surface;
• a track on the bottom surface;
• and
• an actuator operably attached to the track,
• wherein through actuation of the actuator, the track portion peels away from the bottom surface to create an opening on the base portion thereby releasing the removable portion,
• wherein at least one of the cover portion and the base portion comprises a security portion configured to facilitate securing the enclosure in a closed position to prevent unauthorized access.

A configurable enclosure, the configurable enclosure configured to house broadband equipment, the configurable enclosure comprising:

• a cover portion operably attached to a base portion, the base portion including a wall disposed along a perimeter of a bottom surface, the bottom surface comprising a mounting region configured to be mounted to a structure, the cover portion substantially covering an interior of the configurable enclosure when in a closed position so as to prevent unauthorized access to the interior;
• a lock enabling means for enabling the configurable enclosure to be locked in the closed position to prevent unauthorized access to the interior;
• a connection means for operably attaching the cover portion to the base portion;
• and
• a releasing means for releasing a first portion of the bottom surface of the base portion,
• wherein the releasing means includes an actuator attached to a track, wherein through actuation of the actuator, the track peels away from the base portion to create an opening on the base portion thereby releasing the first portion, further wherein the first portion, the track, and a second portion of the bottom surface of the base portion surrounding the track are connected together by at least one third portion of the base portion, the third portion being thinner than at least one of the first and second portions.

An apparatus for housing broadband equipment, comprising:

• a base portion comprising a bottom surface and a wall disposed along a perimeter of the bottom surface forming an interior, the bottom surface comprising at least one mount region that is configured to be mounted to a structure;
• a cover portion operably attached to the base portion, the cover portion configured to completely cover the interior of the base portion in a closed position so as to prevent unauthorized access to the interior;
• at least one security portion of at least one of the base portion and the cover portion, the at least one security portion configured to cooperate with a locking device to prevent unauthorized access to the interior when the cover portion is in the closed position;
• at least one coupler configured to couple the base portion to the cover portion;
• a removable portion coupled to the bottom surface;
• a track surrounding the removable portion;
• and
• an actuator coupled with the track,
• wherein through actuation of the actuator, the track peels away, and the removable portion is released from the base portion to create an opening on the base portion.

An apparatus comprising:

• a base portion comprising a bottom surface and a wall disposed along a perimeter of the bottom surface forming an interior;
• a cover portion operably attached to the base portion, the cover portion configured to completely cover the interior of the base portion in a closed position so as to prevent unauthorized access to the interior;
• a coupler configured to couple the base portion to the cover portion;
• a security portion of at least one of the base portion and the cover portion, the security portion configured to cooperate with a lock device;
• a removable portion coupled to the bottom surface;
• a track surrounding the removable portion, the track configured to be peeled away from the bottom surface to release the removable portion from the bottom surface, the releasing of the removable portion resulting in an opening having a perimeter;
• an actuator coupled with the track;
• and
• at least one mount region of the bottom surface, the at least one mount region being located outside of the perimeter of the opening, the at least one mount region configured to be mounted to a structure,
• wherein the removable portion is configured to be disposed in the interior of the base portion,
• wherein the track is configured to be disposed in the interior of the base portion, and
• wherein the actuator is configured to be disposed in the interior of the base portion.
