Providing dynamic group subscriptions for M2M device communication

A computer program product for allocating a plurality of subscriptions to wireless services in a network among a plurality of wireless devices in the network, comprising a non-transitory computer readable storage medium and computer program instructions, recorded on the non-transitory computer readable medium and executable by a processor, for performing the steps of:

• creating a group including a plurality of wireless devices;
• making an initial allocation of the subscriptions to the group, the initial allocation including allocating a routable identity to each of some of the plurality of wireless devices;
• modifying the allocation of the subscriptions to the group, including deallocating a routable identity from one of the plurality of wireless devices and allocating the routable identity to another one of the plurality of wireless devices.

A system comprising a processor operable to execute computer program instructions, a memory operable to store computer program instructions executable by the processor, and computer program instructions stored in the memory and executable to perform the steps of:

• creating a group including a plurality of wireless devices;
• making an initial allocation of the subscriptions to the group, the initial allocation including allocating a routable identity to each of some of the plurality of wireless devices;
• modifying the allocation of the subscriptions to the group, including deallocating a routable identity from one of the plurality of wireless devices and allocating the routable identity to another one of the plurality of wireless devices.
