• a control area, said control area being configured to store, within a data structure, information usable by said recording or reproducing apparatus to record or reproduce the data on or from the non-transitory machine readable information storage medium, the data structure being configured to store
• a version corresponding to a specification,
• a revision number of maximum recording speed,
• a revision number of minimum recording speed, and
• an extended part version field, wherein
• the data structure is configured to store a revision number table including another revision number,
• the data structure is configured to store information relating to recording power corresponding to one of the revision number of minimum recording speed and the revision number of maximum recording speed, and
• a byte position of the version, a byte position of the extended part version field, and a byte position of one of the revision number of maximum recording speed and the revision number of minimum recording speed are smaller than a byte position of the information relating to recording power corresponding to the one of the revision number of maximum recording speed and the revision number of minimum recording speed.
