Abstract
A display device includes liquid crystal capacitor element formed between a pixel electrode and a counter electrode. One terminals of the pixel electrode, a first switch circuit, and a second switch circuit, and a first terminal of a second transistor form an internal node. The first switch circuit and the second switch circuit have other terminals connected to a source line. The second switch circuit is configured by a series circuit of transistors, and a control terminal of the transistor, a second terminal of the transistor, and one terminal of a boost capacitor element form an output node. The other terminal of the boost capacitor element is connected to a boost line, the control terminal of the transistor is connected to a reference line, and the control terminal of the transistor is connected to a selecting line.

A pixel circuit comprising:
- a display element unit including a unit display element;
- an internal node that configures a part of the display element unit and holds a voltage of pixel data applied to the display element unit;
- a first switch circuit configured to transfer the voltage of the pixel data supplied from a data signal line to the internal node through at least a switch element;
- a second switch circuit configured to transfer the voltage supplied from the data signal line to the internal node without passing through the switch element;
- and
- a control circuit configured to hold a given voltage depending on the voltage of the pixel data held by the internal node at one terminal of a first capacitor element and control a connection/disconnection of the second switch circuit, wherein
- of first to third transistor elements each having a first terminal, a second terminal, and a control terminal configured to control a connection between the first and second terminal, the first and third transistor elements are included in the second switch circuit, and the second transistor element is included in the control circuit,
- the second switch circuit is configured by a series circuit of the first transistor element and the third transistor element,
- the control circuit is configured by a series circuit of the second transistor element and the first capacitor element,
- one terminal of each of the first and second switch circuits is connected to the data signal line,
- the other terminals of the first and second switch circuits and the first terminal of the second transistor element are connected to the internal node,
- the control terminal of the first transistor element, the second terminal of the second transistor element, and the one terminal of the first capacitor element are connected to each other,
- the control terminal of the second transistor element is connected to a first control line,
- the control terminal of the third transistor element is connected to a second control line, and
- the other terminal of the first capacitor element is connected to the second control line or a third control line.
