Abstract
A display device includes a plurality of sub-pixels configured to display a plurality of colors including white. Each of the sub-pixels includes a self-luminous element configured to emit light by receiving supply of electric current, an input unit configured to input a luminance signal for determining luminance of the self-luminous element into the sub-pixel, and a control unit configured to control the supply of electric current to the self-luminous element. An area of light emission in each of the sub-pixels for the white is larger than an area of light emission in each of the sub-pixels for the other colors.
Claims11
A display device comprising:
- a plurality of sub-pixels configured to display a plurality of colors including white and each of the sub-pixels display an only one color, each of the sub-pixels including:
- a self-luminous element configured to emit light by receiving supply of electric current;
- an input unit configured to input a luminance signal for determining luminance of the self-luminous element into the sub-pixel;
- and
- a control unit configured to control the supply of electric current to the self-luminous element,
- wherein an area of light emission in each of the sub-pixels for the white is larger than an area of light emission in each of the sub-pixels for the other colors, and
- the plurality of the sub-pixels is arranged in a matrix and each of the plurality of the sub-pixels displaying same color is not next to each other.
A display device comprising:
- a plurality of sub-pixels arranged in horizontal direction, and configured to display a plurality of colors, and to constitute an image component, each of the sub-pixels including:
- a self-luminous element configured to emit light by receiving supply of electric current;
- an input unit configured to input a luminance signal for determining luminance of the self-luminous element into the sub-pixel;
- and
- a control unit configured to control the supply of electric current to the self-luminous element, wherein at least two sub-pixels of the sub-pixels have an equal horizontal pitch and the two sub-pixels have a different horizontal aitch from another sub-pixel of the sub-pixels.
