A method of reducing platelet aggregation in a mammal, which comprises administering to said mammal a platelet inhibiting effective amount of an acetylated hydroxy containing naturally occurring amino acid selected from the group consisting of O-acetyl-L-hydroxyproline, O-acetyl-L-threonine, O-acetyl-L-serine, O-acetyl-L-tyrosine and O-acetyl-L-carnitine or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or Zwitterion thereof.
A method of treating a condition resulting from or caused by excessive platelet aggregation in a mammal which comprises administering to said mammal in need of treatment a pharmaceutically effective amount of an acetylated hydroxy containing naturally occurring amino acid selected from the group consisting of O-acetyl-L-hydroxyproline, O-acetyl-L-threonine, O-acetyl-L-serine, O-acetyl-L-tyrosine and O-acetyl-L-carnitine or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or Zwitterion thereof.
A method of enhancing the cardiovascular health of a mammal, which comprises administering to said mammal a platelet inhibiting effective amount of an acetylated hydroxy containing naturally occurring amino acid selected from the group consisting of O-acetyl-L-hydroxyproline, O-acetyl-L-threonine, O-acetyl-L-serine, O-acetyl-L-tyrosine and O-acetyl-L-carnitine or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or Zwitterion thereof.
