Formulations containing sanguinarine or chelerythrine or the salts thereof or extracts containing them in admixture with suitable carriers and/or excipients for the treatment and/or prevention of mucositis.

Formulations consisting of sanguinarine or chelerythrine as luteic acid salts in admixture with suitable carriers and/or excipients for the treatment and/or prevention of mucositis.
Formulations consisting of
- sanguinarine or chelerythrine as luteic acid salts;
- and
- natural or synthetic isobutylamides.
Formulations consisting of sanguinarine or chelerythrine as luteic acid salts in admixture with suitable carriers and/or excipients for the treatment and/or prevention of mucositis said formulation being in the form of tablets, granulates, capsules or chewable tablets, chewing gum, creams, ointments, foams, vaginal suppositories, patches.
