Abstract
A vascular prosthesis includes a prosthesis wall whose outer surface has at least one reinforcing means, the surface of the prosthesis wall and the surface of the at least one reinforcer being coated, at least in part, with an antimicrobial layer.
Claims24
A vascular prosthesis comprising a prosthesis wall having an outer surface with one reinforcer having a surface, the surface of the prosthesis wall and the surface of the one reinforcer being coated, at least in part, with an antimicrobial layer, wherein the one reinforcer is a hot-melt adhesive enveloped thread extending in a helical formation in a longitudinal direction of tile vascular prosthesis.
A vascular prosthesis comprising a prosthesis wall having an outer surface with one reinforcer having a surface, the surface of the prosthesis wall and the surface of the one reinforcer being coated, at least in part, with an antimicrobial layer, wherein the one reinforcer is a hot-melt adhesive sheathed thread extending in a helical formation in a longitudinal direction of the vascular prosthesis, wherein the hot-melt adhesive is a copolymer of polybutylene.
