Methods and systems for micro bearings

A micro bearing fabricated on a substrate, comprising:

• a first component including a first part of an aperture;
• a second component including a second part of the aperture;
• and
• the first and second components each coupled with the substrate and each rotatable relative to the substrate, from a first orientation in-plane with the substrate to a second orientation out-of-plane with the substrate to engage a horizontal shaft in-plane with the substrate.
