Abstract
Exemplary methods are provided for installing a ramp assembly into a vehicle. The vehicle includes a floor, a vehicle well disposed in the floor, and inboard and outboard ramp support members. In one embodiment, ramp assembly mounts, such as movable support fittings, are utilized for installing the ramp assembly into the vehicle.
Claims11
An attachment system for installing a ramp assembly into a vehicle, the vehicle having a floor, a vehicle well disposed in the floor, and first and second ramp support members, the attachment system comprising:
- (a) a support assembly adjustably fixed to the first ramp support member, the support assembly comprising a frustoconical support fitting selectively moveable in a vertical direction relative to the first ramp support member and engaging an aperture in the ramp assembly to maintain a first end of the ramp assembly at a fixed elevation;
- and
- (b) a second attachment configuration attaching a second end of the ramp assembly to the second ramp support member.
