Abstract
The process converts FCC olefins to heavier compounds. The heavier compounds are more easily separated from the unconverted paraffins. The heavier compounds can be recycled to an FCC unit or delivered to a separate FCC unit. Suitable conversion zones are oligomerization and aromatic alkylation zones.
Claims7
A process for converting olefins to larger compounds comprising:
- passing a first stream of C5-C7 olefins and paraffins to a first conversion zone to convert the C5-C7 olefins to larger molecular weight C5-C7-derived compounds;
- passing a second stream of C4 olefins and paraffins to a second conversion zone to convert the C4 olefins to larger molecular weight C4-derived compounds, separating the C4-derived compounds from the C4 olefins and paraffins;
- separating the C5-C7-derived compounds from C5-C7 olefins and paraffins, feeding C4-derived compounds and C5-C7-derived compounds to an FCC reactor.
