Abstract
A serving base station transmits a message to one or more target base station in response to a handover decision for a wireless device supporting beamforming and multiple carrier configurations. The message includes a plurality of measurement configuration parameters for the wireless device. The serving base station receives a response from at least one of the target base stations. The serving base station transmits a handover command to the wireless device subsequent to receiving the response message.

A method comprising:
- a) transmitting, by a serving base station, in response to said serving base station making a handover decision for a wireless device, at least one first message to at least one target base station, said at least one first message comprising:
- i) one or more parameters implicitly or explicitly indicating whether said wireless device supports configuration of:
- (1) a maximum of k channel state information reference signals for a carrier, k being an integer greater than one;
- and
- (2) a maximum of n channel state information interference measurement resources for said carrier, n being an integer greater than one;
- and
- ii) configuration parameters of:
- (1) j channel state information reference signals for said carrier, j being an integer smaller than or equal to k;
- and
- (2) m channel state information interference measurement resources for said carrier, m being an integer smaller than or equal to n;
- b) receiving, by said serving base station, at least one second message from one of said at least one target base station, said at least one second message comprising configuration parameters of:
- i) p channel state information reference signals for said carrier, p being an integer smaller than or equal to k;
- and
- ii) q channel state information interference measurement resources for said carrier, q being an integer smaller than or equal to n;
- and
- c) transmitting, by said serving base station, in response to receiving said at least one second message, a third message to said wireless device, said third message comprising said configuration parameters of:
- i) said p channel state information reference signals;
- and
- ii) said q channel state information interference measurement resources.
