Abstract
A method and system for efficiently provisioning a multiple service, multiple layer mesh network in a manner enabling restoration from multiple failures.
Claims10
A method of provisioning a network allowing path protection of protected services, the method comprising:
- creating a logical network topology for grooming guaranteed bandwidth (GB) traffic flows, the logical topology including high, medium and low traffic nodes;
- determining a routing solution of the GB traffic flows using the logical network topology to provide wavelength circuit (WC) requests for a threshold number of network-wide failures associated with GB traffic flows recovery;
- and
- adapting the logical network topology to a physical layer of the network to provide GB routing and protection in the physical layer.

A computer readable medium containing a program which, when executed by a processor, performs method of provisioning a network allowing path protection of protected services, the method comprising:
- creating a logical network topology for grooming guaranteed bandwidth (GB) traffic flows, the logical topology including high, medium and low traffic nodes;
