Claims5
A method for increasing natriuresis or diuresis in a mammal, comprising administering to said mammal a natriuretic polypeptide comprising:
- (a) a first region comprising residues 1-27 of SEQ ID NO:16, or residues 1-27 of SEQ ID NO:16 with 1 to 5 substitutions, and
- (b) a second region comprising an amino acid sequence having at least 95% sequence identity to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1,
- wherein said natriuretic polypeptide is administered in an amount effective to increase natriuresis or diuresis in said mammal.
