Abstract
The present invention relates to fluoroolefin compositions. The fluoroolefin compositions of the present invention are useful as refrigerants or heat transfer fluids and in processes for producing cooling or heat. Additionally, the fluoroolefin compositions of the present invention may be used to replace currently used refrigerant or heat transfer fluid compositions that have higher global warming potential.
Claims12
A method for producing heating or cooling in a refrigeration, air-conditioning, or heat pump apparatus, said method comprising introducing a refrigerant or heat transfer fluid composition into said apparatus having a centrifugal compressor;
- wherein said refrigerant or heat transfer fluid composition consists of E-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene or Z-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene and optionally an additive selected from the group consisting of lubricants, tracers, UV dyes, solubilizing agents, and stabilizers;
- and wherein said apparatus is used as designed for HFC-134a or HFC-245fa.
