Systems and methods for dynamically forwarding wireless communications on mobile communications devices

A non-transitory computer-readable media comprising computer program instructions which when executed by at least one mobile communications device (MCD) processor associated with a first MCD cause the at least one MCD processor to:

• identify activity data associated with the first MCD;
• determine a first activity status of the first MCD based at least in part on the activity data, the first activity status identifying whether the first MCD is inactive or active;
• cause transmission of the first activity status to a wireless operator system for forwarding incoming calls or messages based at least in part on the first activity status;
• and
• receive, from the wireless operator system, information associated with at least one respective second activity status for at least one second MCD;
• wherein, when the information indicates that the first MCD has the only active status among the at least one second MCD, receive an incoming call or message that was intended for an MCD of the at least one second MCD having an inactive status;
• and
• wherein, when the information indicates that the first MCD and at least one of the at least one second MCD have an active status, receive the incoming call or message that was intended for the MCD having the inactive status, or not receive the incoming call or message that was intended for the MCD having the inactive status.

A system for forwarding wireless communications, comprising:

• at least one server comprising one or more computer processors and a call and message forwarding module, wherein the call and message forwarding module is operable to:
• associate a plurality of mobile communications devices (MCDs) with a user;
• determine that at least one of the plurality of MCDs is inactive based at least in part on activity data associated with the plurality of MCDs;
• determine that at least one of the plurality of MCDs is active based at least in part on the activity data;
• receive notification of an incoming call or message intended for the at least one inactive MCD;
• if only one of the plurality of MCDs is active, cause the incoming call or message to be forwarded to the one active MCD based at least in part on the determination that at least one of the plurality of MCDs is active;
• and
• if more than one of the plurality of MCDs is active, either (a) cause the incoming call or message to be forwarded to at least one of the active MCDs based at least in part on the determination that at least one of the plurality of MCDs is active or (b) not cause the incoming call or message to be forwarded based at least in part on the determination that at least one of the plurality of MCDs is active.
