Abstract
At a social network server, a request is obtained from a first user to upload a digital visual medium (digital photograph or digital video). The digital visual medium is marked for identification thereof. At the social network server, a request is obtained from a second user to upload the digital visual medium. Based on the marking, it is determined whether the request from the second user to upload the digital visual medium is inappropriate.
Claims31
A method of monitoring for inappropriate use of a digital visual medium, the method comprising the steps of:
- obtaining, at a social network server, a request from a first user to upload a digital visual medium;
- marking the digital visual medium for identification thereof;
- obtaining, at the social network server, a request from a second user to upload the digital visual medium;
- and
- based on the marking, determining whether the request from the second user to upload the digital visual medium is inappropriate.
An article of manufacture comprising a computer program product for monitoring for inappropriate use of a digital visual medium, the computer program product comprising:
- a tangible computer-readable recordable storage medium, storing in a non-transitory manner computer readable program code, the computer readable program code comprising:
- computer readable program code configured to obtain, at a social network server, a request from a first user to upload a digital visual medium;
- computer readable program code configured to mark the digital visual medium for identification thereof;
- computer readable program code configured to obtain, at the social network server, a request from a second user to upload the digital visual medium;
- and
- computer readable program code configured to, based on the marking, determine whether the request from the second user to upload the digital visual medium is inappropriate.
A social network server apparatus for monitoring for inappropriate use of a digital visual medium, the apparatus comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- at least one processor, coupled to the memory, and operative to:
- obtain a request from a first user to upload a digital visual medium;
- mark the digital visual medium for identification thereof;
- obtain a request from a second user to upload the digital visual medium;
- and
- based on the marking, determine whether the request from the second user to upload the digital visual medium is inappropriate.
An apparatus for monitoring for inappropriate use of a digital visual medium, the apparatus comprising:
- means for obtaining a request from a first user to upload a digital visual medium;
- means for marking the digital visual medium for identification thereof;
- means for obtaining a request from a second user to upload the digital visual medium;
- and
- means for, based on the marking, determining whether the request from the second user to upload the digital visual medium is inappropriate.
