Reception apparatus, reception method, program, and information processing system

A reception method for use with a reception apparatus, said reception method executing said reception apparatus to comprise:

• receiving audio video content;
• extracting trigger information for operating an application program transmitted along with said audio video content and executed in interlocked relation to said audio video content;
• acquiring a correspondence table for associating said trigger information with commands for controlling the operation of said application program;
• storing said application program and said correspondence table in a memory of said reception apparatus;
• based on the stored correspondence table, determining by said reception apparatus said commands associated with the extracted trigger information;
• and
• controlling by said reception apparatus the operation of said application program in response to the determined commands.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program which when executed by a computer causes the computer to:

• receive audio video content;
• extract trigger information for operating an application program transmitted along with said audio video content and executed in interlocked relation to said audio video content;
• acquire a correspondence table for associating said trigger information with commands for controlling the operation of said application program;
• store said application program and said correspondence table in a memory of said computer;
• based on the stored correspondence table, determine by said computer said commands associated with the extracted trigger information;
• and
• control the operation of said application program in response to the determined commands.

An information processing system comprising:

• a reception apparatus;
• a first information processing apparatus;
• and
• a second information processing apparatus,
• said reception apparatus including
• a memory, and
• circuitry configured to
• receive audio video content,
• extract trigger information for operating an application program transmitted along with said audio video content and executed in interlocked relation to said audio video content,
• acquire from said first information processing apparatus a correspondence table for associating said trigger information with commands for controlling the operation of said application program,
• store said application program and said correspondence table in said memory,
• determine, based on the stored correspondence table, said commands associated with the extracted trigger information, and
• control the operation of said application program, which is stored in said memory and acquired from said second information processing apparatus in response to the determined commands,
• said first information processing apparatus including circuitry configured to
• provide said correspondence table in response to a query from said reception apparatus, and
• said second information processing apparatus including circuitry configured to provide said application program in response to a query from said reception apparatus.
