Ink set, ink-jet recording method, and recorded material

An ink-jet recording method for forming an image onto a recording medium comprising:

• ejecting a metallic nonaqueous ink composition containing a metal pigment and an organic solvent being a mixture of an alkylene glycol diether, alkylene glycol monoether, and a lactone, the lactone comprising at least one of γ-butyrolactone, σ-valerolactone, and ε-caprolactone, wherein the metal pigment includes flat particles having the 50% average particle size R50 of 0.5 to 3 μm, based on the circle-equivalent diameter determined from the area of the flat particles in the X-Y plane, wherein X is the major axis of the flat particles in the plane and Y is the minor axis of the flat particles in the plane, the flat particles satisfying the condition R50/Z>5, wherein Z is the thickness of the flat particles onto the recording medium to form an image with a metallic finish on a recording medium and
• ejecting at least one curable ink composition selected from the group consisting of a chromatic ink composition, a black ink composition and a white ink composition onto the image with a metallic finish to form an image of any color with a metallic finish, wherein the recording medium is selected from at least one of a poly(vinyl chloride) sheet, polyethylene terephthAIAte (PET) film;
• and polycarbonate film.
