Pressed, self-solidifying, solid cleaning compositions and methods of making them

A method of making a solid cleaning composition comprising:

• providing a flowable solid comprising water and alkalinity source, sequestrant, or mixture thereof;
• putting the flowable solid in a drawer or hopper;
• vibrating the flowable solid in the drawer or hopper for about 1 to about 10 sec at about 200 to about 6,000 rpm;
• transferring the flowable solid from the drawer or hopper into a form;
• gently pressing the flowable solid in the form at an ambient temperature and at a pressure of about 1000 psi to about 2000 psi to produce the uncured solid cleaning composition, vibrating the flowable solid to produce the uncured solid cleaning composition at about 200 to about 6000 rpm for about 1 to about 10 seconds, or combination thereof;
• removing the uncured solid cleaning composition from the form;
• and
• curing the uncured composition to produce the solid cleaning composition, configured as a multiple use block weighing about 3 kg to about 6 kg.
