Abstract
Novel crystal structures of human and murine glutaminyl cyclase (QC, EC 2.3.2.5), methods of preparing the crystals, as well as the use of said crystal structures for identifying inhibitors of human and murine glutaminyl cyclase.
Claims13
A co-crystal comprising murine glutaminyl cyclase and a glutaminyl cyclase inhibitor selected from the group consisting of inhibitor A, inhibitor B, and inhibitor C, the co-crystal having a characterised space group of P212121 and having unit cell dimensions of +/−5% of a=42.7 Å, b=84.0 Å, c=96.5 Å, α=90.0°, β=90.0° and γ=90.0°;
- wherein,
- the murine glutaminyl cyclase comprises amino acid residues A36 to L362 of SEQ ID NO:
