Abstract
A vascular device for use during an interventional procedure, the device having a stent structure having a collapsed configuration, an expanded configuration, a proximal end, and a distal end; and a delivery member for delivering the stent to a treatment site within a vasculature, wherein the proximal end of the stent structure is fixed to the delivery member when the stent structure is in the expanded configuration at the treatment site.
Claims33
A vascular device for use during an interventional procedure, comprising:
- a stent structure having a collapsed configuration, an expanded configuration, a proximal end, and a distal end;
- and
- a delivery member for delivering the stent structure to a treatment site within a vasculature,
- wherein the proximal end of the stent structure is fixed to the delivery member when the stent structure is in the expanded configuration at the treatment site,
- the proximal end of the stent structure includes a single inlet opening,
- the stent structure comprises a longitudinally extending tubular shaped section of a substantially constant outside diameter,
- the stent structure comprises a section tapering distally radially inwardly at its distal end, and
- when the stent structure is in the expanded configuration, only the proximal end of the stent structure is fixed to the delivery member.
A vascular device for use during an interventional procedure, comprising:
- a flexible tube defined by a mesh structure and having a proximal end and a distal end,
- the tube having a first configuration comprising a compressed diameter that permits intraluminal delivery of the tube through a vasculature and a second configuration comprising an expanded diameter for engaging the wall a vessel lumen at a treatment site;
- a delivery member connected to the proximal end of the tube;
- and
- a connecting member, the connecting member attaching the tube to the delivery member,
- wherein the tube remains connected to the delivery member when the tube is in the second configuration,
- the proximal end of the tube defines a single inlet opening,
- the connecting member extends from a portion of the inlet opening to the delivery member, and
- when the tube is in the second configuration, only the proximal end of the tube is fixed to the delivery member.
A vascular device for use during an interventional procedure, comprising:
- a stent structure having a collapsed configuration, an expanded configuration, a proximal end, and a distal end;
- and
- a delivery member for delivering the stent structure to a treatment site within a vasculature,
- wherein the proximal end of the stent structure is fixed to the delivery member when the stent structure is in the expanded configuration at the treatment site,
- the proximal end of the stent structure includes a single inlet opening,
- the stent structure comprises a longitudinally extending tubular shaped section of a substantially constant outside diameter from the inlet opening to a position near the distal end of the stent structure,
- the tubular shaped section of the stent structure is free of structural elements extending from a surface the tubular shaped section towards an interior portion of the tubular shaped section, and
- when the stent structure is in the expanded configuration, only the proximal end of the stent structure is fixed to the delivery member.
