Abstract
The present invention relates to the use of compounds selected from the group consisting of Lys-(D)Pro-Thr, N-acyl Lys-(D)Pro-Thr, C-amide Lys-(D)Pro-Thr, and C-esters of Lys-(D)Pro-Thr; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of said compound fort he treatment of inflammatory disorders. The invention also relates to the use of αMSH for inducing tolerance.
Claims8
A method for treatment of Crohn's disease comprising the step of administering to a patient in need of such treatment, a pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a compound selected from the group consisting of Lys-(D)Pro-Thr[K(D)PT] (KPT), N-acyl Lys-(D)Pro-Thr, C-amide Lys-(D)Pro-Thr, and C-esters of Lys-(D)Pro-Thr;
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of said compound, wherein said therapeutically effective amount is in the range from 20 μg/kg of body weight to 10 mg/kg of body weight.
