Mobile device diagnosis, test, application deployment and update from a web page

A system for deploying an application to a mobile device coupled to a computing device, the computing device being in communication with the server over a communications network, the system comprising:

• a processor configured to execute computer-readable instructions to cause the system to:
• provide a web page to the computing device, the web page comprising instructions that, when loaded by the computing device, causes the computing device to determine configuration information about the mobile device and communicate the determined configuration information to the system;
• determine one or more specific application components for loading onto the mobile device, according to the determined configuration information communicated by the computing device;
• and
• providing the one or more specific application components to the computing device for loading onto the mobile device;
• wherein the web page further comprises instructions to cause the computing device to free storage space on the mobile device or generate a prompt to free storage space on the mobile device for loading the one or more specific application components onto the mobile device.

A method on a server for diagnosing a mobile device coupled to a computing device, the computing device being in communication with the server over a communications network, the method comprising:

• providing a web page to the computing device, the web page comprising instructions that, when loaded by the computing device, causes the computing device to determine configuration information about the mobile device and communicate the determined configuration information to the server;
• receiving from the computing device the determined configuration information;
• determining at least one of:
• one or more changes to mobile device configuration, one or more updates to existing application components on the mobile device and one or more specific application components for loading onto the mobile device;
• and
• providing the at least one determined one or more changes, one or more updates and one or more specific application components to the computing device for implementing on the mobile device;
• wherein the instructions further cause the computing device to free storage space on the mobile device or generate a prompt to free storage space on the mobile device for loading the one or more specific application components onto the mobile device.
